Re: 6-Color Baseball cap Issue
After going to the U.S. Forum , there seems to be a debate that there was never an official issue cap in this pattern , so who knows .

Re: 6-Color Baseball cap Issue
I don't know what was 'issue' when the uniform was 1st developed. I believe it was this ball cap. I know when the big issue of them was done for Desert Storm, it was the boonie. I know the Elvis collar and the sweat shield in the back were a pain.

Re: 6-Color Baseball cap Issue
I've also thought that there are issue baseball caps in that pattern. What me make a little sceptical is the lack of a contract no. But as you said-who knows?

6 color cap
I have two of these caps in my collection and have been puzzled by them for some time. One of them has captain bars and basic aviator wings on it. Both in subdued pin-ons. Someone once told me that they remember guys in the Air Force wearing them as well. The six color pattern was originally developed back in 1962 actually and was produced for wear in the late 1970s. The "ball cap" was standard wear at that time so it stands to reason that such a cap in this cammo would've been issued.
