Re: another kuwait camouflage
I like the darker color schemes in Kuwaiti patterns, although I don't know the benefit.

Re: another kuwait camouflage
Kuwait always seems to like to include a darker grey in their patterns, I have NO idea how well it works though.

Re: another kuwait camouflage
Vonstuck,
Are you sure you compared that to a US jacket? The reason I ask is that it has the take-back straps around the back, which I've never seen on a US DCU. Will you please show tags? Thanks.

Re: another kuwait camouflage
IIRC the adjustment straps were dropped somewhere in the mid-1980s?

Re: another kuwait camouflage
It wasn't. What I meant was that the tabs, I thought, were ditched in the 1980s off the then current uniforms (Temperate, Hot Weather, 6 Color Desert).
Hmmm... something tells me that the Hot Weather set retained its tabs longer? I don't have enough examples handy to check myself.

They dropped adjustment straps because soldiers find it uncomfortable with flak vests/body armors.

Re: another kuwait camouflage
Thanks for the correction guys, Philip sent me some pictures of one. Funny that I don't have any like this, seems everyone else does! I'd heard that somewhere Merc, but assumed they were talking about BDUs only.

Re: another kuwait camouflage
Very interesting photos and uniform, Gilles! This is a very simple (yet seemingly decent) uniform for a desert environment.

Re: another kuwait camouflage
Thanks Gilles!
I have a set and I thought it was used by UAE. Your pictures have confirmed that at least Kuwait uses this exact pattern. Do you know if UAE uses the same pattern made by the same company?
Thanks!
