Went to BALIKATAN exercises with Phil. SF and USSF and saw these men up close wearing a new pattern.

Re: New US trial pattern?
Yeah dude, what's up with the thumbnail pics? Our eyes aren't as young as they used to be you know
My guess is the Air Force, after following the US Army into the world of screwed up uniforms, is now experimenting with something new so they don't feel left behind. I'll see if I can find out anything from an Air Force friend of mine at the Big P.

Re: New US trial pattern?
That camo pattern is AOR2/Digi1. This is pattern has been in trial by NSW for a while and it just now started being put into a Navy wide testing.
Aor1 is NSW only.
I have a thread that mentions AOR2 HERE On that oage I also have the actual orders authorizing AOR1 for NSW, but AOR2 for Navy wide testing.
here are the pictures from it.
Can you e-mail me the pictures you have there? Send me a PM and I will tell you my e-mail
Also.....what is "Air Force City"?

Re: New US trial pattern?
Now that some of the thumbnails are loading up....definitely AOR-2. VERY VERY rare camo.

Re: New US trial pattern?
AH!! Well, that explains it. I almost asked if they were Navy. Yes, the Navy is currently experimenting with these two patterns. Funny, I just found out about this from a Navy friend of mine a few days ago. Nice looking pattern.
The idea is that the NWU will be for shipboard and non-hostile deployments. When deployed in hostile environments, or perhaps other conditions, the new AOR-2 (or whatever the settle on) will be used. At least that's what I've heard
As an aside, I am expecting the Air Force to ditch their uniforms sooner rather than later. They are hated enough, at least
