Joint Dutch - German Unit Insignia

Hello,
This is something I got from a friend, and the only explanation he had was that it was a joint Dutch-German unit, indicated by the two flags. It's very interesting, but I wish I could find out more about it. I figured the phrase was latin but communitate won't translate. Anyone have any ideas on it's origin? Thanks.

It's the shoulder patch of the 1st German/ Dutch Corps, here is some info:

Yup! The Germans have joint units with the Dutch and another one with the French (similar flag motif). Not a common thing to come upon.

Just as a side note to that patch. I found a picture where a norwegian was wearing that patch.

The moto words on the 1st German/Dutch Korp patch are in latin and goes for something like "Together we are strong"
