Slovak Helmet

Hi Guys.

Here's my Slovak M-53 Helmet.

Totally un-isssued,and pretty much how it left the factory,there is a tone of these on the surplus market right now,and these lids can be bought so cheaply.

Thanks Ben, I got this one from a Local surplus store,these lids are flooding the market,there must have been thousands sat in some slovak warehouse,never issued.

Scads of outdated relic kit = bad for Slovakia, but good for collectors!

Ref pic, of CZ troops in Gulf War 1991.I find the Helmet covers very interesting,but never seen any for sale..ever!!

Another CZ lid, this one may well have been worn somewhere hot and sandy???

Yes nice helmet vz.53. Federal Czecho-Slovak army were using them in between years 1990-1993. Later used by Slovak and Czech armies. Older type was helmet vz.52. Main difference - using nylon straps instead of leather + ventilation holes were smaller, slightly different type of leather etc ...
