Unknown Kevlar Helmet - Nedd held ID'ing Empty Unknown Kevlar Helmet - Nedd held ID'ing

Need some help id'ing this unknown Kevlar helmet. Definitely not US made. The quality on this helmet is beyond pathetic. Judging from the shrapnel hits, I highly doubt this soldier survived. The shrapnel holes come from the inside to the outside. As far as country of origin, I am placing my bet on Iraqi or Afghan. The only mark on this helmet is an O in thecrown. It doesn't appear to have ever had a rubber strip around the outside. Any thoughts?

according to USMF's forum, the inside of the PASGT helemts are always brownish, whereas the LWH for the USMC helmets are lime green-ish...BUT they also have the rubber strips on them and some more suspension pieces than that...

Wikipedia talks of a PASGT copy made by Norinco, intended for police, and there appears to be 2 other PASGT copies made by Chinese companies in addition to a replica(which is plastic) . there are no references for Iraqi made PASGT helmets, nor other countries...Chicom copy jives with the Iraqi equipment because of Saddam's era (Chicom weapons, Russian equipment, etc) also due to proximity of Africa, where China's military equipment often goes for "liberating armies" and rebels, it is possible that the helmet came from thereabouts.
Merc, if it were US made, there would be a date code and company info embossed/stamped into the material inside the helmet; and if the quality is poor compared to the other K-pots that Arch have' then there is reason to believe it is a foreign copy (China is still the most likely one, as it has been referenced on the Wikipedia page for PASGT

Dont think it is made in Iraq or A'stan. Neither one of those countries had or have much in the way of industrial capabilities. Military or civvie for that matter. Pretty much everything is imported. Alot of cheap Chinese junk in many things. As Camo mentions, there are other companies that make them for others such as LE, etc.. I wish I woulda paid attention to the kpot I was issued by my civilian company while in Iraq. It wasn't US issue that was for sure and I don't think this one is either. Am going with one of the Chinese versions like Camo says.

Okay....this one is of much poorer quality than the Iraqi Kevlar (PASGT) I have from the First Gulf War. It also has a rubber strip that went around the rim. Different manufacturer as well. This one is marked "0", while the one from DS is marked "H.H.D." and an Iraqi Jaish mark.

If it is Chinese in origin, then it could have been used by the Iraqis or Afghans because both bought military equipment from China.

I failed to mention that this one also has had at least one field repair. One of the chin strap suspensions has been field repaired. Looks like they just jammed a screw into the hole to fix it. Something I would expect the Iraqis or Afghans to do.

Arch, it could very well have been used by either one of those countries forces, just don't think it was produced there.
