MARINE SHOOTER JACKET?

I'm wondering if any one can help me identify this jacket? I'm no expert but it appears to be a U.S. Marines jacket (looks like the Marine logo is on the large breast pocket w/ vertical zipper). My guess is that it is a shooter jacket as there is elbow padding, however there is no shoulder padding and the jacket looks a bit different than most other shooter jackets i've come across. The coat zips up in the front and may or may not have buttons too. It is also more olive/green that what appears in this bad photo. Unfortunately I don't have the coat in my possession so I can't check the tags/numbers for identification. Any help would be appreciated!

that is no military type jacket due to the fact you can see he is wearing a hoodie just looks like a warm fleece type coat

i agree with the above...I think the jacket is wool
