Re: Best find 2010
2 almost mint Luftwaffe jump smocks for $60 shipped to my door .
I had a really great year for Militaria , for special forces items to rare camo , but the smocks took the prize .

Re: Best find 2010
I know they're not anything ultra-rare, but I snagged 3 sets of camo I had personally been after for awhile: Swedish M90, Danish M84 and Auscam. Two of those three I got hold of within a week of each other, which has got to be some sore of record for me, knocking out 2 items from my wanted list that close together.
2010 isn't over yet, though... maybe I'll have something to top my "personal best" before the year's out!

Re: Best find 2010
I think mine are UCP-D, BSM shirt and a US camo sniper suit. And I should get a 10th SFG used snow camo backpack cover soon.

All in good fun...I'm glad to see it's in good hands and not being destroyed in games of paintball.

Re: Best find 2010
The best finds for me this 2010 would be Danilo Matz, Philip Thum, Bruce Pawulak and Steve Hoeger, Sean McElwain and Ben Playford. Without finding them I wouldn't have made some great trades this year.

Re: Best find 2010
Hard to single any one thing out....
Gary, I'm with you, although I didn't find it this year... it has been a highlight thats for sure.
Finding Pasar Senen in Jakarta. If you want Indonesian uniforms.... thats the place.
Some great trades with a few good guys and hopefully 2011 will see some more.
cheers,
Ben.

Re: Best find 2010
Lots and lots of fantastic trades with many of the guys in this very thread. But I'd have to say my best find this year was BW FJ set (Blue) and BW FJ jacket (Green). Talk about putting a dent in my Top 5 Must Have List
The irony is I paid a TON more for these than Steve H did for his two genuine WW2 bone sacks. But I'm not bitter... I had my chance to fly out there and rob him blind, but I decided to take the high road. This time. If he does something like that again I reserve the right to explore the possibility of going the low road
Steve

Re: Best find 2010
Great thread, lots of neat items
As for myself I would have to say it was a hand painted air warden helmet from a fleamarket over the summer. Missing the liner and chinstrap but is interesting in the painting and the fact it's a British made WW1 shell.
As with all hand painted CD helmets, authenticity is sometimes hard to establish. The wear and the coding (which I believe to be zones the warden patrolled and painted on the helmet) do go in the direction of an authentic painted piece that I was very happy to pick up

Everything I have are the best finds.
However, 173rd items are top of all.
