    Hi Guy's.

Here is my Arctic Parka, 68' Pattern,I strongly believe this classic Brit parka,is Falklands era ( or there abouts)as Post 1980's Parkas are made of the later '84 pattern material and only have the two chest pockets, the lower two removed so as to be used with webbing.

I don't think the liner is original to the Parka as it's a different size and condition. But this Parka still has a lot of life left in it....Long live the DPM Parka Laughing Arctic Parka 68' Pattern, and liner... The lighter DPM coloration appears to mark this as a Falklands-era garment - well done! I have one as well which I'm quite fond of and occasionally wear out in frigid weather. You might be interested in part of an article which mentions this garment:

That smock is in pretty good shape to be nearly 30 years old -- great find, Gary!

Thanks Ben, I am chuffed with this one, and yes another ebay purchase, there is a lot of holes all over this Parka, but I like this aspect ,as it looks like it's been there and done it,I guess it has Wink

This Parka has some cool adaptions too e.g. Soldier 95 buttons, "Ally" points there, and it fit's me which is a double bonus cheers

Afraid to disappoint you guys-the colour of the DPM means nothing when dating an item-its the label thats the giveaway and I strongly believe this to be 1984 or after as thats roughly when the NATO type size labels came into use.

    Still a nice Parka though!!
