I don't think there were any regulations for belts. I mean these guys wore jeans in combat

The issue belt would have been a dark blue (almost black in color) web belt with brass tip and buckle for officers and CPO's and silver tip and buckle for enlisted. You may have seen a khaki one or a badly soiled or dyed white one, but the blue or black would have been the norm.
