Australian 1996 Purple DPM... what is this?!?

This is a mystery item to me. I recently got a set of Australian made Purple DPM with MoD tags in it. Unfortunately it also had a liberal amount of oil based vehicle paint all over it Below are pictures of the jacket and the label. What do you guys make of it?

ATEA = Army Technology and Engineering Agency

This appears to be a trial uniform from this particular agency, possibly for another country. Garments have shown up here from time to time but not common by any means!

Ooo! Cool, some info at long last. Well, that ATEA info is extremely useful as it backs up my theory about the origins of this set.

Do Australian clothing manufacturers make much stuff for other countries? I know some countries, like the US and China, do tons of this sort of thing.

The only example of the Australian clothing industry making uniforms for other countries (that I know of) is when the Australian Government Clothing Factory made DPM uniforms for the Papua New Guinea Defence Force back in the 80's. I have an example of one of the shirts.

is it similar to yemen blue DPM?

Yemeni DPM is much darker. I believe the Yemen Navy DPM is a bit lighter than the interior ministry DPM, from two examples I've seen in collections on the internet listed under those names. This looks more like Qatari blue DPM pictured here.
