Are you looking for Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) pouches? These are blue-green canvas with leather straps and belt loops. That's all I am aware of.

Yes it is Steve, that's the pouch. It's almost identical to the WW2 MP-38/40.
It's a real beauty. Was the pouch ever issued to the Bundeswehr?

Come to think of it, I've never seen any GSG-9 items for sale anywhere. I would imagine that
the rimless GSG-9 helmet would be very popular amongst collectors.

I am now sorry I did not buy them all , although it was a couple years ago they do not take up much room .

Its not Identical in the sense its much smaller , it is made for the 20 rd mags not 32 rds like the WWII version .

These were very common here in the US for a short period of time. They were also fairly cheap. But now the only place I know that has them wants quite a bit of money for them, though they do have some that are brand new.

These were only issued to BGS, Polizei, and disaster response units (THW at least), never Bundeswehr. The BW used Uzi SMGs and had completely different pouches for them.

MP-5. BW did not use MP-5, the other police/disaster agencies did not use the Uzi.

BW Uzi magazine pouches are made from plasticized fabric, the same as the early G3 magazine pouches and other BW equipment. The earliest pouches, probably used only from about 1959 until early 1960s, were made out of canvas as was much of the early BW equipment. Here is a comparison picture of experimental Flecktarn, 1960s-1980s pouch type, and the earliest canvas type (along the bottom)

BTW, on the back of the MP-5 pouches may be a stamped (into the leather) code which tells the date and possibly who the pouch was manufactured for.
