    Here are two variations I have, one has a zipper and is longer with fewer buttons, while the latter is shorter, has more strings and tighteners and has more buttons with a detachable hood.

    The button type was made in the early 1960s, the snap/zipper type was made in the late 1960s through current times. You can find labels to confirm the dates. On the trousers it is in the fly, on the jackets it is on the inside of one of the chest pockets.

    Thanks for the info, the zipper one is dated 1986 and the button one is 1962 I believe.
