    Hi Guys.

Mk6a Lid with MTP Cover, not much to say other than I think it's a very cool example of the MK6a, which has now been superceded by the Mk7.. if you like lids enjoy Wink

Gary, hope you dont mind me tagging this on with yours.

You would never think im not into modern stuff would you Shocked

Believe it or not that in just over week i have gone from not owning a MK6a to now having 3 of the dammn things Crying or Very sad

One unissued with manual, one with DPM cover, rubber band etc but this one is by far my favourite.

Cannot make out what the patch is on the cover due to the choc chip scrim but will have to somehow or other try to peel a bit back to reveal it.

NVG mount is off centre as the rear chinstrap attachment is in the way.

Very cool lid Rich, love the Ally look of this one.

I have one very similiar with the choc chip scrim net, but I don't have one with NVG mount!! Cool

I can't make out the TRF, looks like something I've seen before but can't place now.

BTW-Any chance of seeing the manual, that might be interesting, I used to have one which was issued with my MK6, but sadly that is long gone, in fact I probably binned it not long after.

I must get around to posting up all my Mk6 and Mk6a's some time, could be the start of a new thread " Post up ya Mk6's" Wink

I really want to try somehow to remove that choc chip scrim to reveal the TRF and also there appears to be some names?? written on the cover as well.Pretty sure the NVG mount could be US but this is exactly how i got the helmet so leaving as is.

When i say manual Embarassed its actually only a double sided piece of A4 paper to be honest!!!

A bit gutted as one of the 6As is unissued, came with its original box but the guy ruined the box by sending it to me in its original box with my address(and his return details) written on it in black marker Evil or Very Mad

    Hi Rich.

Very annoying that the box was written on , that would really piss me off. Mad

The RMC Sniper aspect makes sense, in fact I was watching a Ross Kemp programme a while ago, the programme was based around him tracking down Somalian pirates..anyway, there was an interesting piece about RMC Snipers operating out of helicopters patrolling the straits on this programme...very cool info mate.

The temptation to fully explore new purchases is VERY tempting, I have been there so many times... Laughing

Certainly Is Gary, sometimes beat up,used items that have been there/done that to me are "worth" more than mint unissued items-have loads of items US and Brit with Names, numbers in them an djust a shame each item couldnt disclose all the history etc behind the previous owners.

Dont want to dig too deep regarding the MK6As but well happy for the info received.

I agree Mate, sometimes the temptation should be ignored, I have had to learn the hard way on this aspect over the years Laughing
