Wow, that is nice! You've even got the boots. Good one! Cool

How long did it take you to source all the bits & bobs for this one?

    Hiya Ben.

Thanks mate, I guessed you would appreciate my little homage, well I reckon say about 6 months or so...purely to spread the cost ..I would estimate this lot probably cost me in the region of £ 500..and that's an estimate, because I can't remember half the time, what I spend Shocked ...

Don't tell my wife, or my bollocks are on the chopping block Laughing

Hope you are ok Mate, speak soon Wink

The only time I've seen it in Oz was on the back of a QRL Captain on exchange with our 2 Cav whilst out at the training range. It did cross my mind for a split second to pinch it whilst he was in the shower but that wouldn't have done much for international relations!

Exposed buttons means white labelled gear which was the interim solution for urgent deployment for troops to Afghanistan, and based on the CS95 design.

As this stuff comes back into QM stores is is being cut up and destroyed as the newer green labelled 'pcs' gear, which is the final version of the MTP issue is circulated (from April 2011).

In short this means that the white labelled gear will start to become relatively scarce and in some years will be another DPM collectors set!

This is a great set Gary and a nice 2010 Afghan issue example.

That's interesting, I am curious how far this stuff has travelled on the surplus market?

You should have asked him to trade, Pom-cam for some really cool Oz-cam Wink

Many thanks for this interesting info Eaglehurst, and I'm glad you appreciate my collection.

I hope you are right about this kit becoming scarce, and would hope it it will become highly collectable, as that will be one camo, I'm not going to struggle to track down.

    cheers Mate Very Happy

Thanks Rich, glad you like it all Mate.

NONE of this was sourced from ebay, admittedly I'm lucky, as I have a very good surplus store local to me, but I relate to not wanting to buy MTP from ebay...

let's say that hyperthetically I have bought some from ebay, for trading purposes, if asked in the court of law...I know nothin' Very Happy
