About 4 years ago, I picked this up in a thrift store ($10). I was pretty surprised to see something of this caliber in such a place....
At any rate, I contacted 361st AWC webpage and eventually corresponded with the moderator (an former 361st pilot). Based upon the data he had posted on former pilots and the uniform I presented here, we agreed it belonged to 1st Lt. Richard "Dick" Allen. He was the XO for a time in 1970. 1st Lt. Allen passed in the early 1990's.
Note: The current 361st website is not the same as the one during the time I contacted them. I figure the moderator (Mike) was/is unable to keep it up (I hope he is still with us).
I will have to go back through old e-mails to pull some more data.
