Not sure what you would call it to be honest,1st or trials pattern.
Personally(right or wrong) i call this stuff the trials pattern and the next stuff with metal d rings at the rear of the pouches to connect the yoke the 1st pattern.

This stuff not a have a 90Pattern material but 85Pattern.
Maybe it's Trial but lower strap, front clips and other straps are the same like 85P.
Show the photo (if you have) your first pattern, please.

Nope Gulf.
It's not 90Pattern and not 58Pattern.
It is 85Pattern (eighty five) - first PLCE webbing Pattern.
After Falkland's War British Army change webbing and 85Pattern PLCE it was first step to new modern webbing. Next step was 90Pattern Early (Olive Drab).(And next was 90Pattern Late, and 95Pattern DPM)
PECOC PLCE are Trial Pattern, because it used only in test exercises. 85Pattern are normally used in Balcan War and 1st Gulf War and it was used in UK.
You have a very rare ithem, Bro
I'm still not have a full set of this webbing
(U lucky bastard )
