Been offered one and just done a quick Google search and the popular opinion is that the type of cammo on that bag is 1950s?-same type of cammo on the bag ive been offered but its supposedly WW2.

Not sure about that pattern but i had one years ago that was definately the same material as the MkII Denisons and was wartime dated.

Fraser McLusky's book mentions them as do some of the memoirs of some of the other Operation Tombola and Bulbasket vets.

Again,only did a quick Google search but APPARENTLY they were still being made into the 50s and the WW2 period ones had a slightly different pattern to them.

Just dont want to jump into buying the one offered to me as WW2 then finding out its Post War.

There were three types:

- Brush Stroke, you can tell this a mile off
- The type above 'Blotch' this is the 50's one I think
- '59 Pattern 'leaf' style, lots of green and creams

I have the Brush One and theres no labels in it.
