Vector pack systems

Here we have a Vector pack systems ( Lowe alpines military sale arm ) Commando from the early 1980s ,

light years ahead of its time ,adustable back system , floating lid , internal radio pouch , alice attacment points , a removable rappeling belt ( no longer on this one )

This ones in UK DPM but Survival Aids the UK seller also sold them in OG ,

Berghaus sold the cyclocs roc for £80 at this time this critter was £286 .

This design has now gone on to many packs.

Trouble with a large pack is that you tend to fill it !

I have two more Vectors the recce thats about 80 lt and a day sack thats about 40 lt I will get some photos up .

Very nice. The same model (in green, with 1910 eyelets added to the webbing strips) was tested by the Us army (as LCS-84) along with the vector vest and then definitely became the low quality, large issue 1991 camouflage Field Pack Large with Internal Frame. But there are photos of this model still worn by US special forces departing to Liberia in 2003.

The ones us army tested didn't have the rappeling belt, while older models (like the green vector-1 i have) have it. Is it possible this one (being patterned after the lcs-84 one) was produced without the rappeling harness? Note also belt buckle is Berghaus style, not a fastex buckle as in american ones.

Looks like my favourite army - the Swiss - have used them at some point. Even if it is perhaps just Jaeger or some sniper or scout units.
