Is your set matching - same makers stamp on both pieces?
I got my mint set from the vet in about 1959, also got a helmet and some other stuff. My set is matching, same makers stamp on both pieces.

Congrats gents, extremely rare beasts indeed. At least you both have cast iron provenances for your stuff. I'd hate to be buying that stuff nowadays !
