3 Crowns tag on the jacket -- tag on the pants had the crowns cut out, but looked the same as this. Pardon the blurriness, the camera was acting funny.

M90 Uniform
Picked this up from a Canadian seller. It's been used but is in good condition. I have never seen the velcro on these jackets before, not sure if it was done by the soldier who had it issued, or if that was a post-purchase add-on by the previous owner. Nonetheless I'm totally thrilled to finally have this pattern to call my own!

Thanks! And yes, I love the pattern; it's one of the few no one else has copied or released a variant of...which is surprising. I am shocked the Russians or the Chinese haven't come out with a recoloured version for their own applications. Oh well, that makes it unique.

Re: M90 Uniform
Thought I would introduce the m90l (lätt/light) to those of you that have not come across it yet:
in Swedish:
http://www.soldf.com/faltuni90_l.html
google translate:
http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=sv&tl=en&u=http://www.soldf.com/faltuni90_l.html
If it's utterly impossible to understand, I will translate it or you can just ask me.
I do not know if it's appropriate to say that I might be able to get these outside the market section, if it is: mod just give me a shout!
And finally a ref. picture (click it twice, it is pretty big) from my basic training time, this is my lieutenant wearing the m90l during the jungle training in Belize 2006 (and yes, sa80 was lended by the Brits I don´t think that it was allowed to bring the countries own weapons):

Fantastic pics, thanks! I've not seen a detailed shot of the labels and features until now.
Sadly, a Swedish soldier I once knew sent me his trousers after coming back from Lebanon. But the box got lost

Re: M90 Uniform
As do I, but I'm wondering how heavy the fabric is given they're made for Sweden. I'm a big fan of being able to wear my acquisitions if I should so choose and I would think that I'd probably burn to death in the Florida heat wearing one of those.Gemini wrote: I want a M90 so bad.

Re: M90 Uniform
There is the M90L version, designed for wear in tropical environments. It's unlined and made of a much lighter fabric in order to breathe better. It's a little pricier than the standard M90, but still fairly abundant.
What makes sourcing M90 a little difficult/frustrating is the insane cost of international shipping. I was extremely lucky to have found this set from someone in Canada who was willing to ship via economy post.

Re: M90 Uniform
i was wondering why swedish desert uniforms are so hard to find and get no one seems to know where to find them or how to get.
is there a reason why it is so hard,do they take back all desert uniforms and burn them?

Re: M90 Uniform
Yep, all the Scandinavian countries have the rather boring habit of state-controlling their camouflaged uniform systems, making it illegal to buy, sell or even wear the respective country's national colours.
Since it is government property, there is no legal way you can own a piece of gear, since the governments are not giving camouflaged items away or selling them as surplus. All used up issued gear is either destroyed or gets heavily de-milled.
And especially Swedish, but also Danish and Norwegian desert camo uniforms are only issued to deploying troops, making them even harder to find.
And Ben, if you find M90L-pieces to be 'abundant', please share your hunting grounds with the rest of us!

Re: M90 Uniform
Ronnie, perhaps I misspoke saying "abundant"; I should have said available, but elusive.
I've not seen a huge amount of the M90L, but it does show up on a couple of the surplus sites I visited while looking for my M90. One site I remember as having it was called Active Life.se or something like that. These guys had regular M90, the tropic version, and even the tanker suits in M90 camo.
I'm sure shipping from Sweden to Denmark would be a little more economical than from Sweden to the US, too.

Re: M90 Uniform
No worries Good Sir, I was merely kidding!
And the Swedish 'Active Life Equipment'-site is indeed a good one, though only their M/90P or 'Pansar' (panzer or tankers) sets + OD winter coats are actual Swedish army pieces.
All other camouflaged uniform bits, from their offered heavy twill M/90 uniforms, the rainproof sets, poncho's and also light weight ripstop uniforms, are all commercially made by either the ALE Cyclone company or good ol' Tac Gear, but not 3-crown-marked Swedish army issues.
Their 'Pansar' suit pieces however, albeit a bit pricy, are the real deal and unsurpassed in quality. Get them while you can!
Also consider the 'Stridshandske 2000' combat gloves offered, they are real tasty.
And shipping seems to be universally getting more expensive, so buying from the Active Life Equip.-crew can be a hefty investment, even for us living in neighboring countries.

Re: M90 Uniform
M90HK - Helicopter jacket, for use with Helicopter Crew, it's a version of M90 Uniform. it have a more water resistence and a Bright Orange lining that can fold inside out (as picture demostrate), saw two of them sold for SEK540 Kr ($70 USD) last time i was in Sweden, shame that i devoted my money somewhere else.
M90C Parka, Cold Weather - issued to troop served in Artic condition and naval personnel (As least that's what the guy said) They are wind and water resistence and can act like a lined windbreaker the guy sold for SEK350 Kr (50 USD) and well, again, i regret i didn't buy this.

The scrim net is designed for sniper team, make the already hard to get helmet even harder to get. I will try to get the M90K Desert Camo if i can. Finger crossed.

Re: M90 Uniform
As Far as i know and what i've heard. China is the most recent major supplier to Swedish Armed Force. Many of the newer uniform are made in China (Item such as M90K uniforms, jacket, boonies and stuff like that) Before 2000, the major supplier is from Sri Lanka.
The problem is, swedish government only buy a fraction of the uniform made in China (something on the like of 50% acquisition, eg Chinese made 10, they bought 5) and those 50% acquiition would have the crown stamp on it or in swedish (Kronmärkt). The other is surplus and the chinese company would just made their own tag and stick it in the garment and get over it.
The item will still comes with M Number (Which indicate the item is on par with Military Standard) but without the crown stamp (Not bought by the government) Those item are very popular locally in sweden and they are mostly used by airsoft team as their price is half what the issued item were.
