    i believe this to be greek army lizard pattern cammo cover ive been told 1970/80s i was just wandering what type of helmet would this of fitted im kind of guessing an m1 clone but not sure any information would be great thanks jay helmet cover  100_2179helmet cover  100_2178

    Hi James.

    A Greek M1 clone, the Greeks produced their own M1 and equipped their Army in the late 60's. The liners were plain plastic green very much like say a Dutch liner, webbing was OD and followed the US style.

    Quite a scarce item Mate, congrats on getting hold of this beautiful example Very Happy

    many thanks for the info gary and for confirming what i was thinking ,i thought it was for fitting onto an m1 style judging by the profile in this pic i found ,it looks like they use the us m17 gasmask too helmet cover  800px-Gas_mask_greek

    BTW I like the ref picture James, you can clearly see the M1 style chinstraps, and the way the cover is sandwiched between the shell and liner, I'm surprised they don't use a helmet band to tidy up the profile a bit, but that's me being a lid- Geek I guess Wink

    One of those covers ended yesterday on Ebay UK-went cheap as well if i can remember.
