Cool. I don't think I've seen metal collar insignia on a field uniform before. From what I can tell that was reserved for home and parade use. But that's just a guess based on some info off the Norwegian Armed Forces website.
gold colord metal branc insignias are only on the uniform when on leave or other parade stuff. they are upside down by the way, swords in bottom wheel on top. those are for the transport corps, also mp.
As “msgt Norway” says it’s a shirt used when on leave and the transport corps collar branch insignia are upside down. A M98 shirt used as an everyday uniform would have a subdued KFOR patch on the right sleeve and also subdued rank insignia. This has the unit patch of the Norwegian Inf Bn and I guess it’s from 2000 or 2001. As for the Velcro for the name stripe above the right breast pocket it was often removed just to make it look a little nicer. Too bad there are no ribbon bars on it, but it's still a nice shirt.
Thanks guys for the info, I bought it off ebay a long while ago it's in fairly good condition but a few tiny holes and marks. First one I had ever seen for sale so I snapped it up. Just would be nice to find a pair of trousers.
