The HBT version started around 1995, IIRC. Before that it was smooth cotton with lower pockets on the jacket. The above jacket has bare metal snaps and lower pockets. Does it also have a thick ribbed cotton cloth? If so, the jacket is a Chinese knock-off. Ironically, I saw a set in a shop today. I had one that I bought in the mid 1990s and sold it off years ago when I discovered it wasn't legit. You might want to double check that jacket of yours since it should have painted pebble grain snaps like the trousers.

Yeh i suspected the jacket may have been fake. I just can't understand why they would though as this print isn't rare or expensive as i can buy another now for £7 Question

    Cheers for the info cheers

But back in 1992, when I think these were made, the real deal was impossible to get Very Happy These could also have been part of some failed contract for a nation other than France. Quite a few oddball things we see out there were not intended for the commercial market, especially back before Airsoft started up.
