Na same just a newer set you would have been about 15 or 16 when we last got these issued in 96 they were good from the moment they got taken out of the wrapper to the first bit of rain i ditched mine for Brit goretex in 94.

the only new kit we got was the brown boots, still have a new pair of the light weight ones in the shed.
Every thing else was given during corps training and then the rest was given prior to batt 2
