Three years ago I was given a pair of this ARVN Tigerstripe (shirt and trousers) by a Canadian who had served with the ICCS in Vietnam in 1969. Here is an image of the shirt.

Re: ARVN Camouflage
Any markings anywhere on the shirt?
I see what looks like an unnatural black blob in the back of the neck - perhaps markings covered up?

Re: ARVN Camouflage
Looks like a VNMC 'Sea Wave' tiger pattern. Was a fairly rare pattern, unfortunately now inundated with Far East fakes. Should normally be a faintly stamped QM box in the neck area although your looks like it could be a custom tailored item on account of the pleated pockets which AFAIK is not a standard VN combat cut.

Re: ARVN Camouflage
Screams Tailor made, esp. with the way the epaulettes look.
Usually Tailor made shirts don't have any stamps or markings.

Thank You
Thank you for the ID of the camouflage pattern. As a collector of Canadian clothing and equipment this is not an item that I would normally search out or purchase, but since it was given to me by a Canadian Army officer who servied in South Vietnam with the ICCS in 1969, the 'Canadian' link is there. Besides the set of ARVN Camouflage, he also gave me an unworn set of ripstop ERDLs and US Jungle Boots.
