    This is an example of such material has been used heretofore unsuspected.
    M-35 German helmet brought to Spain in the Civil War or early 40's, recycled or refurbished service even in the 80's.
    As can be seen leads inside the helmet used for Z 42/78 and still has inside the home painting.

    I was is Barcelona, and Malaga in the mid 70s.
    The Guardia Civil were still wearing M35,
    and field gray uniforms then.
    They were nowhere to be seen in Palma ( De Mallorca )
    as Palma was , and is, a tourist cash cow...
