Picked this up from someone I know who's just left 22 SAS. He was last serving wth 'G' Sqn which is Mountain Troop. They were issued with this jacket and a matching pair of trousers (which i am hoping to have in my hands soon .. ).
The jacket is made by Taiga of Sweden. It is a triple layer goretex fully IRR.
Has a huge volume adjustable hood with hidden drawcords. 2 loer pockets close with zippers and a velcro flap. These pockets and the pit zippers are the waterproof type. The main zipper and the zippers for the vertical under the storm flap pockets are the same as the Swedish M90 camo jacket.. There are velcro closing cuffs and the jacket has a poachers pocket in the lower back internally and a crotch strap to stop the wind getting under it. There are two sleeve pockets on each upper arm. One with a velcro flap and the other closing with velcro but having a folding flap to make it waterproof.
They retail for £550 I didn't pay even a quarter of that though
It's a shame that DPM - especially the darker coloured ones - doesn't photograph well. It really is an awesome jacket !!
