I have a large archive of both "Officially" approved emblems of the US services as well as "Unofficial" types , USAAF/USN/USMC , I specialise in the aviation unit types , I enjoy helping to ID emblems you may need it for , looking forward to hearing from members Smile

    Hey Johnny,

Are you familiar with USN VF 84 ? A Navy Fighter Squadron out of Oceana Va Beach ?
They were called the Jolly Rogers. They are now VFA 113, I believe.

If you like a really indepth history about VF-17 Jolly Rogers, I would suggest contacting the Historian at this site
    Tailhook Asociation

I am more the "emblem" design buff then indepth unit background, I know most of them by number etc but not really well versed in the background of operations , the above should get you what you need , if not the other one to try would be the Pensecola NAS air museum people , they have good records on the Flying unit's of the Navy.
    Hope that helps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
