Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
Finally a waste out of gear that the recruits have to do and not the other way around. I was going to put a suggestion on the Innovation Site that we keep the pants and flog them out on PT instead of munting the new gears.

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
I wonder how long the no blousing and sleeves down will last for? And are we going with the desert fox boots with their 2 year warranty or carry on with the KC ration boots?

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
Ive heard a whisper that an approved boot list is coming out like the Aussies did. If the pants have a james at the boot end like the Yank FR gear does it shouldnt be an issue. Sleeves down....some of Linton already is. Biggest issue will be how the Ginger Beers cope with no Corps belts anymore!!

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
CSSB is sleeves down, shirts out. Gnrs,ER,HSB,BN is old skool 80s, cant recall what Sigs were doing. I know Tradoc has gone sleeves down in TMC and LMC.

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
Shirts in we're fine for our slender Army of the 70's, 80's but its not the most flattering uniform on some including me.

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
Any chance of an English translation of the above so the rest of us can keep up with NZ military fashions?

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
The dress used to be sleeves ironed up and shirts tucked in with stable belts denoting your corps. With the new uniforms coming in several units have already started to wear the sleeves down and shirts untucked.

corps belt folding over means you need to spend more time at the gym and less time eating pies.....

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
Lol they are talking about the new dress standard for wearing the new combat uniform at the the moment there are two standards for Dress 3 (dpm)
Tradoc - ARES, Training units, and deployments Sleeves down shirt out with blue NZ Flag patch black boots.
1 Brigade - Sleeves up, shirt in with green flag patch and black boots.
Unit, formation/TRF patch at units discretion for both.
This is as by the regs but there is massive confusion and identity theft in the transition, the old us and them scenario.
When the new uniform and equipment is transitioned in it will be given to 1 Brigade first and then Tradoc over a 2-3 year period.
The word is the uniform will be specifically cut to be worn sleeves down, shirt out and with un bloused trousers, boots being a coyote brown colour from an approved list.

Re: Looking for XL NZDPM Pants
I have found a pair of 96cm trou in the old non ripstop cut. You can have these if you want them, but one of the thigh pockets is still in zone 1......
