Hi,

the Danish patch (top row, middle) is the old "DANMARK" flash and shield worn by soldiers serving abroad. I think it was used until late 1990ies, when all Danish uniforms were fitted with a Danish flag on the shoulder. Before that the flash and the shield were sewn on when somebody went abroad.

I would guess the tow row patches have been made for some UN mission - but that is just a guess.

Top rpw are real and are in fact, used by the troops of those nations while serving abroad with the UN. I have a picture of the Austria one in use with UN forces and I think I have a Denmark one from the UN mission in Cypres. I'll have to look and see.

The middle one in the bottom row belongs to the Royal Danish Air Force Eskadrille 729 and is an early version:

The one to the left in the bottom row is from Belgium and belongs to the 10th Fighter Bomber Wing, looks to be an early plastic/ felt version.

I'm a bit confused over your patches being printed and not woven. I have a uniform from the Danish UN troops on Cyprus (the last Danes left in 1995) and it is also woven. Below is a photo showing the flash and shield on an "Indian uniform" (the nickname of the plain green uniform worn by the Danish UN troops) and a photo showing the back of a flash and shield.

Here's mine.. I got this one and one from the Irish contingent back in 93 or 94 while on a dig there. I had a bunch of helmet stickers too, but have lost them.

The uniform is an "Indiand Bush" (I think it was made in India) and was worn by most, if not all, UN soldiers in the area (Cypros, Lebanon) at the time. The different patches are probably from different eras or for different uniforms.
