    Hi,all.
    Today I bay a German backpack from military suplus store.When I come home and look the pack on the left side pocket found this straps.What is them use?Some carrier or what? Thank all..

    The strap material/webbing itself looks like British 44 Pattern and the brass hook looks like the same hooks used on the British WW2 Gas Mask Bag Straps but all the other fittings are unknown to me???

    British 44 Pattern is all metal webbing hardwear, also pattern 58.This is German..material of plastic regulator's told me that..

    I have another one with 100% plastic pieces. I have no idea where it came from.

    To me this looks like a shoulder strap and an adjustable waist strap (the section with the clip). Something fairly heavy probably attached onto it, such as a NBC suit or a specialized component for something non-standard kit.

    Please read my post again,i said that the WEBBING looked British as does the brass hook but as for the other fittings be they plastic or metal I have no idea.
