Hi Chaps. I'm in the process of moving house atm, which means a lot of my collection is either in storage or being put into storage, whilst hunting for my elusive Children of Men camo set I stumbled on this piece - I picked it up a couple of years back as an oddity, thought I'd share it - It's a heavily modded tropical DPM shirt & well i'll let the pictures speak for themselves (please forgive the crappy cell-phone pictures though!)
At first glance a normal if a little lairy tropical shirt as beloved by our British Airborne Brethren.. Size Label is faded 170/104. At a closer glance, the epaulettes & left sleeve pen pocket have been removed.
an added open topped pocket next to the regular left side shirt pocket, my guess for a compass on a lanyard worn around the neck.
A strange little zipped pocket added to the inside of the shirt, not waterproof material, reminds me of british barrack dress trousers. YKK zip.
And finally, the weirdest mod of all is the bottom of a t-shirt sewn onto the bottom of the shirt to extend it - maybe to enable it to be tucked in to prevent creepy-crawlies getting in? I *really* have no idea on this one..
An interesting piece eh?
