    M90?Helmet. Empty M90?Helmet.

    Post by Gulf91 Wed May 08, 2013 3:45 pm

Been after one of these(for not silly money for years) so chuffed to find one at a decent price and even more chuufed with the condition and that the rubber rim is still present.

Having never seen one in the flesh was nicely surprised to find it is a tan/desert colour as I had always assumed that they were white.

Were they used during Desert Storm or are they a later type?

    Many Thanks

Fantastic condition lid Mate, and a bonus with the rubber rim, mine is long gone.

These were worn in the Gulf war, and somewhere on my PC, I have ref pics of these models and the M80 littered around a burned out Iraqi truck ( quite an infamous piccy)

These were home produced, and I suppose in a sense were an evolution of the M-80,which were then of course superseded by the M80/03, which was a very poor quality Iraqi produced lid indeed.

Is the black sweatband material made of plastic, I believe mine is too?

It appears to be made of some sort of PVC/Vinyl material-pretty nasty to wear I would think.

Thought so, again I believe my example has a similar version, must have been horribly sweaty in use Wink
