Three years ago, I bought this hat when the "Red Choir Army" came to my city, Valencia, to do a performance. They put a stand with various items from Russia, and some soviets and military hats. I bought the hat that I attached in the pictures in this message. It belongs to the army, particularly the infantry.
I think it was used by an officer because of the laurel in silver that appears at the peak of this hat. But at the same time, I'm having doubts with this because, I haven't seen yet a picture of a russian officer with this laurel in silver at the peak of this cap.
But anyway, it's a very nice hat. In Spain is not to easy to find some like this one.
