The army SF variant looks very reddish. Interesting colouration!

    Beautiful Vegetatos,

Great pattern, and classic cut.   One of the best  modern camo.  I am glad the Italians have stayed away from  digital patterns and have hit a home run.

The Consorzio Liguria set is Italian made, and the others are , obviously , Romanian made.   They  are all Italian  issue uniforms.

I own a few Consorzio Liguria pieces; they are all top notch.  I have heard that  Rumanian pieces are not as durable.

Having said that, I love to get my hands on any legit Vegetato, Romanian, Italian, or whatever..

The 2 sets I posted are made in China.  They were purchased in Italy.  I have been told by more than one source that some  Italian servicemen and Carabinieri  privately  purchase these types of  Chinese made uniforms.

Thank you for showing these 3 great uniforms,

    rip......

I have posted an identical but unpatched COMSUBIN shirt and boonie in another thread .

Could not help noticing similarities in both pattern and cut with Danilo's Italian Air force desert set.

    Beautiful set, BTW...

    Hi all guys!
I know that is too late to write a comment but i hope it will be useful anyway!

The desert type uniform posted by tlundberg1 and drmatz are not a simple example of a desert type of vegetato, the pattern is calle CB62! This pattern was used by GOI (navy sf) and other Italian SF during years 2006- 07 - 08! The original ones was only made by SOD and FCM prato.
    Suche great pieces!!

PS: the second photo of drmatz does not report a vegecam pattern uniform, it is a civil pattern type "Multiland" made by defcon5!

    Always helpful to answer you!

    Ciao!

    Thanks for the info...

Never  too late for good info..

Good to know the proper designation for the CB62.  I have one as well ( and a boonie).

    Both made by FCM Prato.

    I also have a Multiland set, ( Defcon 5 )...
Matter of fact it is the same set posted by dmatz,  but that is another story..

Have heard various stories about that pattern...

Recently acquired a well worn  Italian Navy Vegetato variant that someone stripped ...
Even took the collar point stars from it...

I'm very glad to see your interest on my country's militaria!
Let me give you my compliments for your collection! Great!

Speaking about the stars on your navy vegetata, you have to know that, for all the italian armed forces (Navy, Army, Airborne, Carabinieri) the stars are the official insignia of the effective membership to one of these corps; so someone decide to remove these insignia to make the uniform such as "civilly usable" avoiding legal ripercussions. Obviously collectors must have original uniforms (with all labels and insignia) in their collection Laughing and obviously they could never think to wear their pieces in public!

Thanks again for your comments, Daniele..

Well, I have  been  interested in Italian camouflage  patterns  for  quite some time and welcome all info that relates.

After many years of using basically  the same ( M29) pattern, it was good to see  so many different patterns emerge ..

I was born about 250 Ks from Bergamo, so my interest in Italian patterns is quite natural.

Feel very fortunate to have accumulated a fairly large amount of different  Italian uniforms , second in numbers only to my US  collection..

Hope to see more informative posts from you, and any other member who can provide information on this very interesting subject...

    Arrivederci,
