    I've never seen anything even remotely similar to this:

    Stamps look vaguely French.

    Appreciate any insights.

    I'd love to have an id on this one as well. I have owned one since the middle 80s and have not been able to figure out country or what it intended for.

    yes it's french warein is a manufacture near Lille which is specialised in military gear mainly webbings but uniforms too (If I remember they manufacture Daguet camo) used in Algeria to carry mortar bombs
