Odd WWI British helmet color? Empty Odd WWI British helmet color?

I'm considering restoring a WWI British Brodie I've had hanging around for a while. The problem is, it's painted an odd shade of bright green. It appears to be an old paint job, since there's old residue of the tape that one held a net onto the shell. Has anyone seen this color, and is it worth keeping? Or should I press on with the project? Thanks!

It's not quite as bright as the pictures show, its a little more subdued. My phone's camera sucks.

Looks almost a john deere green. once had a german helmet painted about that color. These were often converted to lamps and decorative artsy flower pots. A lot were also used in mines and construction for years too. I'd go ahead and strip it and restore if I was you.
