    The letters and numbers on the second picture have the following meaning:

    B-1 = batallón #1 (battalion)

    C-1 = compañía #1 (company)

    P-2 = pelotón #2 (platoon)

    74 = número del soldado

    Very interesting. It seems the Cuban lizard evolved since the 1980s and is simplified compared to the 1980s uniforms that I saw.

    Is the material poly-cotton?

    You are right. Especially the colours has been changed. The colour shift is more sharp-edged than in the 70's/80's.

    About the material I don't know anything.
