Why are Austrian patches so hard to find and expensive?

Some of them aren't really expensive.For example,
I got the 3 patches of last week for 3Euros each piece.
Other patches of certain units or for special exercices ar pretty rare: Jagdkommando,Pacemaker 07 etc.
And you have to know, there are some fakes around ebay especially the Jagdkommando patches
are often faked and copied.
Its practical that my brother has his consript service now. So I have direct access to some cool stuff.
