Custom Made NZ DPM Smock

Here's a Smock project I did in the 2000's when we were still using DPM. Design was based on the classic Brit windproof but using the current NZ Smock material. I had a Seamstress who normally did wedding dresses make it. Retained the good design points of the NZ Smock (not many) and incorporated into the Brit design. Seamstress did a pretty good job except she didnt slant the chest pockets as that part was lost in translation somewhere. Used it up until we swapped to MCU.

Jackets always look cool when they have a hood. It seems like a big job. Do you recall what did she charged?

Around $200-220? It was a few years back. Also I had provided the material, zips, Velcro and the 4 bellow pockets were premade by the contractor who made the issued smocks.

There used to be a company here in the UK called Special Air Sea Services or SASS who did some excelent repair work and custom made clothing and webbing such as smocks like the one above.
