Got this in a trade with a forum member last month.
Don't know anything about it realy.
It is a civilian made jacket, the tag is different and it doesn't have reinforced elbows.

The lower pockets were removed so soldier could tuck it in his pants.
No reinforced elbows and heavy cotton mean it is 90's. Take a look at date.

Hmmmm....looks like a 3rd Infantry Division ghost on the left sleeve. Could be an invasion piece.

I agree,it looks like 3rd ID. In person you can see the ghost much better. the flash washed it out a little.
