F1 Parka Sateen 300 !

Hi Guys.

Here's another French jacket from my collection,to share with you all.

I think the classification for this one is F1 Parka Sateen 300, please correct me if there is another official classification for this one.

The features consist of waterproof ling to the Parka it's self, and the removable fleece liner,the Parka is dated 1990, and the liner 1989.

I'm curious to know if thee were ever worn in the first Gulf war, I've yet to find any pic's, but the dates do correspond with this conflict??

Nice parka, Gary. I really like the old F1 gear. There's just something about OG-coloured uniforms that makes them so neat.

Thanks Ben, I totally agree with you, OG has a real old school feel to it, like you I love my camo, but OG just has the je ne sais quoi element, thanks for looking

Hi Gulf,thanks for looking, and yes this Parka is the waterproof version,it does have a vinyl lining which is just visible in the last photo I supplied,unfortunately in the sleeve area the vinyl material has degraded ( or in other words coming off in strips).

No worries Mate, yeah there is the Sateen 300 Parka with removable furry liner of the non-waterproof variety too,check out my specific post on my collection of these types.

No liner unfortunately and yes,MASSIVE!!!

To be honest the only time I have seen these listed anywhere ,they are classed as Sateen 300/or Water impermeable Parka,(PARKA DE COMBAT MICROPOREUX IMPERMEABLE ARMEE FRANCAISE which go for about 60 Euros). I have yet to get some info regarding the official French classification for these excellent items?????

Good plan, these jackets are great in wet weather,but not breathable at all!!

Size 96 roughly equates to a British Medium,but the sizing is generous,more like a large, my waterproof example is a little too small for me across the shoulders!

The only size I find that fits comfortably like a medium is a size 86c Parka!

Oh well,will have to try and shift this one then I guess.
