Pattern 1939 style leather pouch

Hi all! Has anybody got a clue about this, roughly the same size as a British ammo pouch, but made from leather. It is however clearly not a Pattern 1939 pouch, totally different construction. The overall feel is very "french", but I've never seen any photos of French troops with such pouches. A clue which leads me to think these may be Turkish is the name(?) "Holil Kocer" and other not-totally-readable Turkish-style gibberish written on the inside of one.

I can't think of any ammo pouches with metal corners. I'm curious about this too

Even if the writing is Turkish it must be remembered that they have a history of buying "surplus" from other countries. So it is possible that this was used by another nation and purchased by Turkey.

My thoughts exactly! I've been trying to dig for reference photos of Turkish soldier from the apparent era of 1930's-1970's without any luck. I have also not found any matches in any European kit yet.

This may not even be a ammo pouch, but made for something completely different.
