I honestly never knew they experimented with these colours, what I find interesting is that there is a pic with a number of manaquins displaying different patterns - some of these patterns I have are no there....?

I never saw this one coming also Alex, the surplus site I got this from sold the Grey/Olive shirt variant I needed to go with the trousers I already had, I snapped it up and then saw they had the same shirt for sale the following day?! I thought there couldn't two sets so bought it on a gamble...it paid off luckily!! Have to now try and source the trousers!

Now that I've seen the picture of the new gray variant, I think:
AllT 4 = All Terrain #4
This is inline with the DES 5 numbering which, pretty obviously, represents "Desert" and the sample number.
I fixed Lee's image links so here they are in full color glory!

Latest roundup of variants with the new info provided by Lee. And that is there are now 2 identified 4 color "gray" type patterns that are called "AllT", which for now I'm guessing is "All Terrain". I also changed "3 color DES 5" to be "3 color Burgundy" to have it be named more consistent with the others. Other changes made for consistency's sake.
Desert
2 color Standard (traditional colors)
3 color Orange (DES 1)
3 color Brown (DES 2, most common type)
3 color Gray (DES 3)
3 color Burgundy (DES 5)
3 color Digital
Woodland
4 color Standard (traditional colors)
4 color Green
4 color Gray
4 color Digital
All Terrain
4 color Olive
4 color Beige (AllT 3)
Hybrid
4 color Brown (as seen on various field kits kit)
4 color Gray ("Hybrid 2" - one background shape is light gray instead of rust brown)
4 color Digital
Also note that there are at least 5 desert patterns and I've now got enough evidence to identify 4 of the 5. There also appears to be at least 3 of the AllT patterns, of which we've seen two but only know the designation number for one. The Woodland variants probably have some type of designation, but so far we've not seen it.

(I'd post pictures if this wasn't so confusing ;-) )

Interesting point. Hmm. I don't think I've seen helmet covers in private hands.

Same here Steve, seen a a couple on the net. Also, a PECOC Bergan cover was on eBay a few months ago and went for the best part of £80. I contacted the seller who was a collector of webbing/Bergans etc, give him the forums address but heard nothing else. He mention he had a number of Bergan covers all different patterns! Would love to see them!!

I overheard a guy at Bovi at the weekend saying he'd picked up PECOC Bergens in Belgium for €18.....there's one on Ebay for £999!
I'm more of a helmet collector than camo....but experimental camo interests me....should someone come across a helmet cover please shout.....although I expect the response to be "take a number...get in line..."

Composite you're probably right I've been collecting PECOC kit a while now and I have never seen any helmet covers for sale or trade. I didn't realise the PECOC project covered Bergan covers until a few months ago and the All Terrain patterns have only surfaced recently...who knows what next will surface! €18 though a Bergan, I would have bought them all!!!

Interestingly, I was researching the 'Hybrid' line and stumbled across the attached link...
http://soldiersystems.net/2009/03/07/uk-hybrid-dpm/
1200 Osprey sets were made?! I can't see that personally as very little of the Hybrid vests have surfaced, unless there is a QM room packed to the gills with the stuff?!

Considering how many of them are demilled and/or in bits and pieces, I'd believe the 1200 number produced with a large number being destroyed. Though I would love to see them popping onto eBay cheap someday, so I'm hoping there is 1000 sitting in MoD approved plastic bags waiting for us

Hi Steve, the chap had 7 of them, when I last looked yesterday to give feedback they had all been sold. The guy said they were made in Afgan for a Major in the Merician Regiment... Can only conclude it was made from a Bergan cover, I know PECOC patterns were trialled in Bergan covers (only ever seen one on ebay)...apart from that the Hybrid pattern was only made in webbing, Bergans and Ospreys I believe not in cotton if that makes sense!

OK, thanks for the follow up. Theater made makes a lot of sense! Though I suppose they might have produced hybrid rank at some point if the pattern was adopted. It would look really nice on the body armor, that is for sure!

PECOC OPS VEST ARID
Managed to obtain a slashed up Arid Ops vest but with one panel missing if anybody comes across one panel (wish I don't think will happen, please keep me in mind!) That aside, what I do have of it is very nice! Just wish it was not cut up!!
