Somewhat amazed and confused to see this article in a very well reputed military magazine here in the UK, first ive heard of it, it confuses my eyes a little!

Big question though, who's going to be the lucky sort to bag themselves a set first!

Just reading up about it, was produced in a small batch solely for OpFor (Opposing Forces, enemy) while on exercises as its a good contrast and makes them stick out, why go to the expence of PCS cut and Mk7 helmet covers though i wonder.

Wow that's awesome!! There is a MK2 wind proof in circulation at the moment with refinement to the garment ie. The picture frame Velcro on the arms.

I have never heard of Opfor kit! Must be recent as like you say George looks like a MK2 smock!! Looks very cool, reminds of the old US Urban kit?!

Looks to me as if the OpFor kit is quite widely issued, I envisage some of this hitting eBay at some point! Smile

Do you know George if they are doing a shirt in the blue or is it just smock, trousers and helmet covers?

Looks like something I need to put on my Want List Smile I have a mysterious Australian DPM uniform in similar colors that was made in the 1990s. I've never found any references to it, but I'm positive mine is government issue (all features consistent, including the arrow tag). Maybe they were for an OPFOR purpose too? At the time they were still using the "red Auscam" and then US 3 Color desert, so seeing anything in DPM raised eyebrows.
