Coming to Singapore

Hi I'm taking a holiday to Singapore very shortly. Can anyone point me in the direction of good militaria places, Ill be doing the usual sight seeing and have 2 unwilling participants who wont be thrilled on going to the sticks to find an obscure gem (which I would do, but apparently it not all about me!) So any that are easy to get to while doing other stuff are cool.

Hey mate there is one on Orchard road. Was there last year.

Also each camp has a tailor that you can get badging from if you can get access.

Which end got a landmark ref that easy to find, last time I was there I found a good place but buggered if I can remember where the hell it was. Pretty sure it wasn't in town, more like coastal.

Theres one at Sembawang you should be able to get in...

Try Beach Road Market. Top floor above all the food stalls etc. 9 Beach Rd.

Can't remember, but it is close to the ocean. Theres an ATM in the adjacent shops too.......

Mission completed. Stock varies from very good and authentic to lame knock offs. Good stuff like Camelbak and Direct Action was very expensive, other stuff not to bad. Good selection of Singaporean Army digi cam uniforms and feild gear.

Update on Beach Road Army Market. In the daily paper the next day after my visit there was an article about the changes at the market as traders licences to sell Singaporean Army equipment are now starting to expire. It seems that the licences were issued years ago and wont be renewed forcing many traders to start selling sport gear etc. There were a lot of empty stall on my visit. Also the paper stated it is illegal to sell, Kevlar helmets, digital cam, webbing etc. Well I saw plenty of it there and in the Shanty town road market located south of Beach road (I was lost and found it)
A new place that has gone into BRAM is Kickass Tactical, they import new tac gear largely from Direct Action of Poland. Good selection of gear for current mil or airsofters.

In the Arab quarter on Haji Lane is Strato Gears which is also new and imports a lot of Tactical Tailor gear plus other modern brands. Between the 2 and with a sizeable bank balance you can fit out most load bearing roles up to 2-3 days.
