Civilian danish M23 iron helmet.
Made in the same form as the army steel helmet model 1923.
Only from thinner iron plate. And liner is simpler.
Today this would be substituted with an ordinary plastic construction worker helmet.
These were used for clearing workers at emergencies. They shall be able to take a blow from a falling brick. Nothing more.
According to a law from 1938, all major danish companies had to buy and store these helmets, gas masks and tools like axes and shovels.
in case of emergencies, their personnel could be used immediately after bombings, or disasters.
These helmets are still fairly common, and many companies had their company logo on the front. Mainly to reduce the risk of theft.
