Re: New Hungarian Multicam-styled camo
The seller is a really good guy, but of course he is not perfect with identifications. A few of or members here thought these uniforms were official when they first popped up. I'll send the seller an email with a correction.

Re: New Hungarian Multicam-styled camo
Thank you, Steve!
I think it was a good decision to inform the seller, because some customers could purchase this uniform as the real one (the price is quite high, by the way), and be disappointed after learning the truth.
I have checked out the other pants of this seller, and they are original and really good!
Nobody's perfect...

Re: New Hungarian Multicam-styled camo
Do you have a link to the trousers? I did not find it on his site. Also, I think he removed the listing for the commercial Multicam uniform. Your link to it doesn't work and I did not see it using the Search function on the website.

Re: New Hungarian Multicam-styled camo
I received a note from him thanking me for the correction. He had three sets and all are sold, so the listing you saw was there by mistake (which is why it is removed). They came from a Hungarian officer years ago along with many of his other Hungarian items.
BTW, here is a seller that still has the commercial jacket:
https://tactical.hu/gurkha-hau-zubbony-2503
I didn't see trousers for sale on this site.

Re: New Hungarian Multicam-styled camo
Thank you Steve for your efforts!
Do you think I have to remove my words about "fake" and "deceiving the customers"?
It was just an emotional impression, as anybody used to face with fakes...
The seller really seems to be a good guy, who just made a mistake.
If so, I am ready, either these words could be eliminated be a moderator...

Re: New Hungarian Multicam-styled camo
I would, John is open and honest guy. never intentionally deceive anyone. And at time with army buying non issued uniform the lines of issued/ commercial/fake can be hard to tel.

I am against editing posts in general because it gets messy very quickly. Seeing people referring back to something missing can be confusing and possibly misleading.
The way I see it, you raised a legitimate concern about the accuracy of a seller because the listing was not correct. Two members vouched for the seller and the seller's response posted here (second hand) indicates he cares about the details. You fully accepted the explanation and expressed regrets about your wording. I have seen collectors say far worse things about the people who make inaccurate listings
Personally, I see this thread reflecting very well on you, the seller (John), and this Forum. It shows that we're all very reasonable people that care about accuracy and reputations. If someone came here wondering about the seller's integrity, they should leave with a positive impression of John. Which is good, because he's a good guy
