2 x Multicam Shirts/Jackets and a UBACS

Wish I had a working camera so I could start posting up pics again.

Just bought 2 x Multicam Shirts/Jackets,2012 and 2013 and also a 2013 dated UBAC shirt.

well done. are the shirt the tropical version or temperate

I have no idea I'm afraid, what are the differences? Thanks.

The m/11 uniform has two distinct versions. The temperate type is cut almost identical to m/84 with covered button pockets and a heavier weight cloth. The tropical version has exposed button pockets and lighter weight ripstop cloth. The two do not look anything like each other except for the camouflage pattern.

Doesnt take much to confuse me but these do not have covered button pockets,they have the large British type S95 taped buttons,exposed,if that makes any sense?

Yup, that's the tropical version for sure. Used for desert and other warm climates. It is based on the m/01 uniform whereas the temperate version is based on the m/84 uniform.

Again Steve,confused again and know it would be much easier if I could post up bloody photos,you say tropical but these arent ripstop?

Sorry, my bad. I keep forgetting that one of the major differences between the m/01 and m/11 tropical uniforms is that m/01 is ripstop and m/11 is not.

If you have expose buttons (and you do) then it's Tropical.

There's a thread on m/11 uniforms on this Forum if you want more details. Though there's not much else other than the Tropical comes with or without anti-insect treatment.
